Blurring the lines between the physical and digital, the Formula 1 Livery Experience invites visitors to step into the role of livery designer. Using Luminary’s open-air Augment Glass LENS platform, guests personalize a three-dimensional F1 showcar displayed behind transparent OLED—selecting colors and graphics that wrap onto the car in real time.

Offering a unique and highly interactive way to engage with visitors, the LENS augmented reality platform allows for innovative ways to bring personalized experiences to your next activation or retail environment. By selecting their preferred colors and choosing from graphic styles crafted by local artists, visitors create a livery for their car that reflects their personality while celebrating the identity of the event location.
Adaptive Digital Content
When idle, the kiosk goes into a passive display mode, showcasing customizability and attracting visitors in for a closer look. Once in use, visitors become fully engaged, giving them the power to personalize their own experience.
Advanced Perspective Tracking
With precise perspective tracking and real-time visual calibration powered by Luminary’s Augment Glass platform, the experience maintains perfect alignment between digital content and the physical F1 show car. Every movement, tilt, and shift in viewpoint is accounted for instantly, creating a natural holographic effect that feels grounded in the physical world.

Creating Memorable Moments
After finalizing their selections, visitors can view a digital replica of their custom car on their phone—accurately reflecting the colors and local-artist graphic they chose. This portable version can be saved, shared, or posted on social media. On-site printing is also available, allowing guests to take home a physical poster of their design.

Global Companion Experience
To extend the reach of the Livery Experience beyond the Augment Glass kiosk, Luminary created a streamlined iPad-based customizer designed for rapid, high-traffic environments. This static 2D interface mirrors the core interaction flow. Deployed at 12 locations around the world, the iPad Experience delivers a culturally relevant and highly portable customization experience. Its compact footprint and intuitive interface make it ideal for the American Express Fan Zone.
